This is a deed to plot number four in the city of Waco, sold to a man named John C. Pool on May 20, 1849. Both Jacob de Cordova and George Erath’s signatures can be seen at the bottom of the document. Jacob’s signature was very unique, always having the same looped lines drawn underneath it. He signed his name smaller in the place of N. A. Ware and Jonas Butler as their attorney as well.
