Owens-Illinois employees call themselves “OnIzers.” According to The Waco Citizen in the mid-1970s, “All Waco OnIzers take pride in their fine twenty-acre clubhouse grounds and the fifty-acre Lake Eastland located just off the South Third Street Road. Although many of the social and welfare activities that are carried on by the club are sponsored by the company, the OnIzed Club is run by the OnIzers.”
