Wilson had a reputation as proficient multitasker both inside and outside of the studio. Frank Zappa (far left) in a 1986 MTV interview commented on his firsthand experience with Wilson’s multitasking. He said, “He had a fascinating ability to read The Wall Street Journal, have a blonde sitting on his lap, and tell the engineer to add more compression to the vocal all at the same time.”
