As Crush Holloway recalled, weather served as a contributing factor in the move of the Waco Black Navigators to San Antonio in 1919. Rainouts of almost every game early in the schedule meant the owner of the Black Navigators could not make any money and had to sell the team. In this team picture from that year, Holloway stands sixth from the left, toward the center of the photograph.
