Melendez Brothers

(top) Anthony Melendez confessed and was convicted of the 1982 murders and later argued that his confessions had been coerced by local law enforcement. Though he recanted, he remained in prison, where he died on January 13, 2017. (bottom) Gilbert Melendez also plead guilty and served two life sentences in prison. He died there in 1998.
