In 1970, Tito moved to a storefront inside the National Lloyds Building. Around the same time, the city of Waco debuted the Austin Avenue Pedestrian Mall. While one wouldn't think a small barbershop could outlast a major civic project that failed, Tito's barbershop still operates today while few traces of the Pedestrian Mall remain.
