At Katy Park, the Chicago American Giants and Memphis Red Sox kicked off Waco’s 1946 Juneteenth celebrations. The two teams split in a double header earlier in April, and fans highly anticipated the rematch. Fans reserved their seats at Waco’s W.A. Holt company store where tickets were sold.
