Pondering the role of mayor, Dr. Mae Jackson contended that “The mayor’s job is to look at the bigger picture in terms of what’s good for Waco all over. I want to be able to get council members into discussions that are goal-oriented and focused…Part of my responsibility (as mayor) is to frame the issues so people can talk about them.”
