The Los Angeles Medical College was the medical department of the University of Southern California. Founded in 1885, it is the oldest medical school in California, and it still exists today as Keck School of Medicine. Majors was invited to lecture at this prestigious college, a striking contrast with the exclusion Majors experienced from white medical associations and colleges in the South.
