Mammoth Site Dig Shelter

The city of Waco and Baylor University chartered the Waco Mammoth Foundation in 2006 in order to raise the funds to preserve and support the mammoth site. The nonprofit raised the money to build the welcome center and shelter which opened to the public in 2009.
