A photographer captured the last moment before the two engines - one green and one red and each pulling six cars -collided in devastating fashion. While the general public were situated at least two hundred yards away from the tracks, members of the press were allowed to watch from one hundred yards away. The casual placement of the photographer’s gear seems to suggest he does not see the stunt as being inherently dangerous.
