Lawrence Alavezos and Dr. May Wang discuss a patient’s case at the Family Health Center in 1973. Both worked as family physicians and teachers in the resident program. Dr. Wang worked for the clinic for over 30 years, and many residents who learned from her often say: “There is a Wang way, or the wrong way!” Emphasizing compassionate care and pragmatic practice, Dr. Wang played an important role in the shaping of Waco Family Medicine.
