Though forced to relocate from their original location, St. James members looked forward to the construction of their church. The design, like inspired by the St. Paul United Methodist Church in San Antonio, contained architectural elements frequently utilized in Tudor Revival and Gothic Revival structures. The towers and Gothic arches above the entrance point to these influences.
