Waco completed nearly a dozen urban renewal projects by 1970 and planned to complete more throughout the decade. Project titles included: Baylor 1A, Jefferson Urban Renewal Area, Riverside 2, Dewey Project, Brazos Project, Dewey B Project, Clay Avenue Project, Barron’s Branch Project, Edgefield Project Renewal Program, Paul Quinn Project, and South Loop Project. Officials posted these signs in these projects’ locations to signal land in process of renewal.
