Inexhaustible Armstrong

Dr. Armstrong was a man of remarkable drive and energy. In his forty years as chairman of the Baylor English department, he always worked eighteen hour days; led a men’s group at the First Baptist Church; oversaw the English honors society, Sigma Tau Delta; led a Literature Survey class for Waco women; gave lectures; taught university classes; and, of course, never ceased to hunt items to augment the Browning collection.
